We understand that distance can be a worry for overseas landlords, but at Landlord Litigation we look at taking that worry away from overseas landlords and even try our best to work around time differences, even if it means communicating with you out of our usual office hours.

Our experience tells us that not all overseas landlords are multi property owners, or block management owners, but quite often, become landlords by default, having moved abroad for work, or taken time out to travel etc. When it is time to return to the UK, the whole eviction process can be daunting and stressful, especially if a tenant is refusing to leave, or has been advised not to leave until a section 8 or section 21 notice has been served and a Possession Order obtained.

Whatever your reason for being an overseas landlord, it doesn’t change the fact that legal services, advice and communication can often be difficult with distance in the way.

Landlord Litigation aims to ease the stresses and worries for overseas landlords, by providing supporting eviction services, in addition to general notices and possession claims.

  • To liaise with the tenant and report back with updates;
  • Draft witness statements to support a Possession Claim (in cases where the landlord cannot attend a hearing);
  • Arrange and meet a Bailiff to carry out an eviction;
  • Arrange and meet a locksmith to change the locks when a tenant vacates;
  • Site visits and reports;
  • House clearance and cleaning once tenant has vacated;
  • Communication out of regular hours.
